AKA, Bonang Matheba & DJ Zinhle “Love Triangle” has Broken the Internet

So this happened…

Earlier today, South African DJ Zinhle published a shocking blogpost. The popular DJ who recently broke up with music superstar AKA after a 3 year relationship alleged that megastar TV Presenter/media personality Bonang Matheba was the “other woman” who destroyed her relationship by having an affair with AKA while she was pregnant with their newborn baby daughter.

I have recently been confronted with a situation that forced me to think really hard about the kind of women that I want to become and the kind of legacy I want to leave behind….

A week before our daughter was born, I found out about an affair between Kiernan (the father of my child) and Bonang Matheba. I also received confirmation of all rumours through an honest conversation which I had with Kiernan, who confirmed that the affair had been going on for over 5 months.

I will always respect him for his honesty.

I have dealt with this and found peace with his choice.

After the release of our first statement regarding the separation I felt that there was no need to go into details about the reasons, however, after the continued public display of Kiernan and Bonang’s relationship as well as the commentary surrounding it, it has become important for me to affirm my power as a women, my strength of character, my continued focus on my work and my commitment to being a positive role model.

Since the news broke, this has been the Number 1 topic in the South African Showbiz press.

The news is even more intriguing as it comes on the heels of a press release by AKA and DJ Zinhle a few short weeks ago announcing their breakup. Fans were not only surprised by the breakup but also by the need for a press release announcing it.

Well, now AKA and Bonang have responded and they are both denying any wrongdoing.

AKA took to Twitter to share his thoughts on the matter.

While Bonang who was linked to Nigerian singer D’banj recently denied being in ANY relationship in a statement via her PR agents.

This is to confirm that Ms Matheba is aware of the allegations made against her, and the media reports surrounding the matter. We are taking these statements very seriously and are unfortunately unable to comment further as the issue has been handed over to Ms Matheba’s legal team. We can however confirm that Ms Matheba is currently not involved in a relationship, as she has always stated. Bonang is solely focused on her work and the projects she is finalising to ensure she wraps up what has been an incredible year, with a bang.

As AKA said, breakups are so emotional. Hope AKA and DJ Zinhle can mend the bridges especially for their daughter’s sake.
