Lovers of telenovelas on DStv and GOtv platforms were treated last weekend to a thrilling pre-screening of the new telenovela ‘A Passion for Revenge that is set to premiere on Telemundo.

The event was attended by Munachi Abii, Sarah Ofili, Nancy Isime, Aderonke Adebanjo and more.

General Manager Marketing, MultiChoice Nigeria, Martin Mabutho said he was excited about Telemundo choosing to do the pre-launch in Nigeria as it presents an opportunity for the existing subscribers to experience first-hand and interact with the premium content available on both DStv and GOtv. He lauded the partnership between NBCUniversal International Networks and MultiChoice Africa saying he hopes to see such opportunities extended further to E! Entertainment Television and Studio Universal channel brands which are also part of the NBCUniversal channel portfolio.

The first episode of the award winning telenovela was previewed by guests, who are referred to as ‘Passionistas’, in a cool and relaxed ambience. They also had a taste of Latin America with the popular social dance; salsa with female guests having free makeovers for a well-rounded experience.

Seems Munachi has a heavier upper body. She need to have red carpet posture that highlight are best assist or hide the ones she doesn’t want to show. I also have a bit of upper body for a slim chic, I rarely ever wear sleeveless outfits.

telenovela… I’ll pass. that’s milk. I crave strong stuff like Game Of Thrones, Scandal, Orange is the new black, Downtown Abbey, and their likes. would rather watch re runs of desperate housewives or 24 than tune to channel what is it again and zee world.

Some people will always appear ‘red carpet ready’ even for the simplest event.

Why is there only white faces in the background?? Do African people know there are black actors as well??

Abeg go and sit down, it’s a telenovela there will be mostly white faces, some of you copy the west so much that you begin to unconsciously copy their problems that don’t apply in most parts of Africa. it’s always black/white, light skin/dark skin with some of you westerners/Africans who live in the west. we don’t care about black representation, colorism and all that nonsense here, we have our own problems eg tribalism, corruption, etc. most africans dont even refer to themselves as black(that is for black americans or people of African descent who were taken from the continent years and years ago and so have lost the African identity) but as their ethnicity/country, I know where i’m from, I know my ethnic group why the hell would I go and start naming myself something a rcist white man chose to call me? abeg. our people in the rural areas dont even know about” black identity” or “black people’s struggles”, we have our own issues. all you americans/American wannabes(who call themselves black, something that the white man gave them, while forgetting their own unique ethnicities and countries) should take your white and black story with you and work on your own issues while we work on ours.
