Olajumoke Orisaguna and her husband Sunday at Sujimoto 2Break out bread seller/model Olajumoke Orisaguna discovered by photographer TY Bello went to the Sujimoto offices today with her husband, Sunday, daughter and ThisDay journalist Azuka Ogujiuba who has been doing her PR pro bono.

The Sujimoto boss Sijibomi Ogundele gifted her with ‘luxury accommodation and education’. She is going to receive training in English, from Poise Nigeria.

They had lunch afterwards at the Wheatbaker Hotel in Ikoyi.

Azuka wrote this on her page,

@sujimoto81 how many more Olajumoke do we have, who left their comfort zone to look for opportunity, the Olajumoke’s story is the Nigerian story, a story of preparation that meets opportunity … Thanks @sujimotong for providing luxury accommodation and Education for Olajumoke & her family.

    • Caligula February 12, 2016 at 7:08 pm

I’m loving this! The lady is as real as can be. She asked for Ogbono & Eba….. As in…100% real.

Unlike some posers always running after Chinese rice & pizza.. ? Aunty Jumoke, mo gba fun yin mehn… (My yoruba sucks ??)

      • temi February 12, 2016 at 7:59 pm

But let her not eat too much of these free food before she packs on pounds that will be a threat to her newly found career. Her slim figure is her inventory/asset

      • ElessarisElendil February 12, 2016 at 10:23 pm

Ogbono and Eba which she then proceeded to demolish with her cutlery, so real!

      • Eww-the -toilet February 12, 2016 at 11:51 pm

@Temi, regarding the pounds… Maje Ayida got that covered…He’s signing up to be her personal trainer.

    • Happy February 12, 2016 at 9:26 pm

I’m genuinely happy for this lady, but i am scared of this fame brought to her so fast so quick. Every single thing is broadcast. I hope it doesn’t affect her or her family in anyway negative. You know how the media gives you with one hand, and takes with the other…

    • Osa February 13, 2016 at 3:04 am

pls who writes these things? “preparation meets opportunity”. Was she previously preparing to be model? she was only making a daily living which every other person on this planet does.

She was simply lucky. the kind of luck that has nothing to do with anything. PURE LUCK! She is not exactly the most beautiful / attractive woman living below the poverty line in this Lagos. TY Bello wanted her. pure and simple. No hating. I pray my own pure luck to comes soon.

      • Humphrey February 13, 2016 at 7:37 pm

You people will always find one argument about someone’s success story. Go read of many Hollywood stars and they were all discovered. Or was Arnold or Sylvester Stallone professional actors?. People who discover her feels she has the physique and look of a model or a TV host and would train her in the act and you here shouting luck! luck! luck!

  • Olu February 12, 2016 at 5:04 pm

And this is the face we like and are used to….not the heavily pancaked picture I saw two days ago

Makeup should enhance ur looks…..not make you completely unrecognizable!

  • Scarletlush February 12, 2016 at 5:16 pm

  • Ms Kunms February 12, 2016 at 5:21 pm

Nice but before we get all carried away, was the apartment bought in her name? Are all the documents in her possession? Please she should get a lawyer too not just a publicist and modelling agency.

  • Abike February 12, 2016 at 5:24 pm

Some needs to give them baby Clothes too. Ruff and Tumble please do that for us.

  • kelechi February 12, 2016 at 5:26 pm

  • Different Shades of Nigerian February 12, 2016 at 5:29 pm

I am all for helping her but please dont give her luxury apartment that she cannot afford to pay for next year oh. I am sure Jumoke will rather collect money and buy herself land and start building house small small outside the island. Lets not set people up for failure (I am simply speculating based on what my friends have told me they pay for rent, not to talk of when luxury is attached to the apartment)

    • Fifi February 13, 2016 at 8:17 am

How do they expect her to maintain this lifestyle?please this apartment was not a good move, im scared on her behalf honestly

  • virtuossino February 12, 2016 at 5:44 pm

What difference does it makes if the husband is a village man? Even if is he having a village brain too? Not good a comment@all. Respect is key to all class of human..

  • Tru February 12, 2016 at 6:32 pm

Please I am off to start selling Agege bread and Ewa goyin ?

  • February 12, 2016 at 6:39 pm

Hard work pays. If she was not on the street hawking bread that day, such favour would not have located her. Ladies, there is no excuse to be idle.

  • D February 12, 2016 at 6:40 pm

This is so cool… so many blessings rolling her way. Her life and the lives of her husband and children will never be the same. God will also grant them the grace to plan wisely during this period. An inspirational tale for us all.

  • Kay February 12, 2016 at 6:45 pm

The stuff dreams are made of! This story brings tears to my eyes (and I am not a wimp).

  • C . Anslem February 12, 2016 at 6:54 pm

I’m not against this “dashing of apartment. What I am concerned is this:
1.I do hope that this dashing of a soft’ apartment is not just another publicity stunt! . But Siji on the other hand is not a hungry entrepreneur looking for some cheap fame.
    2. I do hope Poise finishing school does good work on her.
    3. Ms Azuka Ogujiuba has been doing free PR for Jumoke. May your flowers keep blooming in all seasons Azuka. Where are the blogger wannabes?.. U guys are seeing good news stuff and y’all pretending yeah?
4.The husband almost looks like Edoho of the who wants to be a milli’ game show. Hope Lagos chicks won’t “collobi” the man.
5..Do we have a 5 year career strategy for this woman? what are the plans? finances? image development and proper delivery of all said promises by various folks.
    6. Hope fame (later on) won’t make her forget her husband.
    7. God is using this story to teach or rather pass a message to this Nigerian generation. I do hope we all follow God’s leading concerning this. Psalm 138:8 “For the lord shall perfect all that concerns me” . Our prayer should be’ That God should perfect all that concerns Olajumoke Orisaguna. Do this and watch how God opens your own heaven.
    8. To all my brothers in the house. Wishing Ya’lla nice weekend and pls! Guys Stick to one woman!

    • Nnechi Spicy February 12, 2016 at 7:22 pm

Ironically I feel the same way about their marriage but in reverse. I hope the husband doesn’t get jealous of her achievements and starts throwing tantrums, DV and other evil things that happen to successful women with insecure partners.
Seeing her eat eba and ogbonno with fork made me smile, dunno why (can just imagine her saying in her mind ‘choi, na like this we go dey dey?).
      God bless her.

  • i no send February 12, 2016 at 7:12 pm

if you guys know this suji guy ehn??…let this not be for the business PR and 6mths/ 1 year later is “quietly” evicted…

  • concerned9ja February 12, 2016 at 7:43 pm

What is remarkable about this story is seeing an Afircan..a Nigerian for that matter empower someone at the so called lower levels of society without any strings attached ..even more so by a woman TY Bello.
We so accustomed to Europeans and Americans taking boys and girls from poor backgrounds and turning them into Superstars but hardly do we have an African equivalent or a culture that actively promotes that kind of empowerment.
You heard Husbands..Fiancees..Boyfriends even coded ones.. you heard blessings aplenty when you treat them right!!
Look at Will Smith..Obama…Bill Gates…The married Tuface….Kanu..and many more.
God is working…even when you not aware.

  • Kim February 12, 2016 at 7:53 pm

Grass to Grace. Shebi suji too grow up for agege and now lives in ikoyi. Them be the same people na

  • lola February 12, 2016 at 7:57 pm

The husband is very handsome,na poverty they make person no fine sometimes. Father Lord in heaven, pls remember your daughter.

  • AlabamaUncut Blog February 12, 2016 at 8:27 pm

Single guys be updating their wife material’s list.

    Is she pretty?
    Is she educated?
    Is she employed/employable?
    What’s her “Olajumoke” potential?

    • Aisha February 13, 2016 at 12:43 am

Loool! Olajumoke potential? Now that is a very cool coinage.

  • Della Russel February 12, 2016 at 8:30 pm

Good move by the TY Bello’s team to get Olajumoke undergo English lessons. The team putting this project together needs to be commended. The African value of helping one another has been revived through this project and it’s important we all support the team. God bless.

  • TA February 12, 2016 at 8:36 pm

Look at all the favour Olajumoke is getting in this Buhari economy. Chai! I’m so happy for her. Talk about being at the right place at the right time. I still have faith in humanity. 🙂

  • Felinda February 12, 2016 at 9:37 pm

This story needs to be made into a movie and If i have to choose one person to make that movie it will Kunle Afoloyan.

Sir – the ball is in your court. Get their permission and get this done. It will inspire millions who dont have internet, nor read nor have had the chance to even hear this story to at least watch the movie and be inspired NEVER to give up. This sunday i am sure several pastors will use this girl to preach in their church.

The story is so surreal some are even doubting its validity. As for me , I will believe it to the end. All the doubting thomases just cos it has not happened to you or whom you know personally does not mean its not true. So go on somewhere and sit over there

    Over Where?

There in that empty stadium 🙂

And for yall who think this is the end of the blessing, Noooooo, it hasnt finished yet, The abundance of grace has just begun, this is just preliminary. This is just Part 1. So take a seat.

  • Somtoo February 12, 2016 at 10:12 pm

Some comments here are bewildering. Asking if them dash her d apartment? If she will be expected to pay rent? DO U Think Ty bello will allow anyone take advantage of this woman knowing d backlash she will receive? You think Ty bello isn’t aware that in a way she is responsible for this woman?
Guys, please have a little faith in pple. I don’t beg for bread or sell but I know what this woman has experienced and is still experiencing is a privilege many wI’ll never enjoy.
Even if it lasts for a year, your questions and advice shld be that she maximises this experience, learns quick lessons, be wise and save, save , save! Not asking her to look at all her benefactors with side eye.
A woman who sells bread biko nu, has she ever lived inside airconditoned spaces or eaten in five star hotels? Na wa o. Let her enjoy the experience abeg. Take advantage of this platform n enjoy the blessings for as long as possible jummy.
    God bless you o sujimoto

  • opportunist February 12, 2016 at 10:56 pm

    opportunist oshi

there are millions on d streets that are worse off than Olajumoke, but you ignore them on a daily basis. YOu even threaten to hit them with your jeep if they stand on your way but anything that can promote you, you do.

GO learn what the bible says about alms giving, blessing others or even giving offering. you have received your reward already from men.

  • Galivanta February 13, 2016 at 12:24 am

Nollywood gearing up to do a movie on her in 3…2…..

  • nnenne February 13, 2016 at 2:59 am

May God continue to bless and all involved in her story.
May we continue to hear this type of story for others yet to be touched.

  • Precy February 13, 2016 at 3:57 am

I don’t get some people. Asking if it was just a year rent that was paid? Hope they don’t expect her to pay the next year? Isn’t the goal to make her a success? What makes you think she can’t pay the next rent. Appreciate kind acts pls. Especially one that you can do.
I’ve never been happier for someone I don’t know.
Lord this kind of Favour and Grace is all I ask for.

  • Bunmarts February 13, 2016 at 8:31 am

The Lord that perfect Olajumoke’s concern shall perfect me and all that concerns me in Jesus name. Congrats to Olajumoke.

  • Tosin February 13, 2016 at 9:09 am

That’s how sidechick tried pinging goiz during feck-and-knife lunch. Off’d it like “ab’eriibu fe p’eleyii ni’ when dining with bone-of-my-bones.

She looks lovely, they look happy, I’m tired please, the sugar is enough.

    • Huh February 13, 2016 at 2:51 pm

Does anyone understand what Tosin just typed above??

      • Ahn February 13, 2016 at 8:43 pm

I think we’re on the same page there

  • UwakmfonAbasi Ukoyen February 13, 2016 at 7:58 pm

    I’m happy for her!

  • shakazulu February 13, 2016 at 9:50 pm

Her life is ruined. Her family is over. The Big Men are going to come after her and she won’t be able to resist for ever.

  • devil’s advocate cum realist February 13, 2016 at 11:42 pm

Happy for all the coverage this positive feel good story is getting across the world – showing Nigerians helping Nigerians!
Why are people talking as if Jumoke is an innocent child plucked from her father’s house. She is a wife (technically), mother of two and has been HAWKING bread in interior parts of Lagos!! wake up people – women like her (food hawkers) were unfortunately seen as fair game. So if her hustle has been stepped up, is it not good for her. (Sugar daddy is better that fondling mechanic) Whatever she gets out of this, I still think it’s better than where she was before, please let her enjoy this and wherever it may lead.

  • Esther February 14, 2016 at 12:33 pm

When a man is deligent in his work, he shall sit amongst kings and not mere men. That’s what the bible say. A lot of ladies out there will sit at home pinging or complaining about everything their husband does forgetting that the bible says we shouldn’t despise our small beginning. #Olajumoke #Hardworkmeetsopportunity.

  • Mike February 15, 2016 at 5:53 pm

Jumoke is a case of how industrious most Nigerian women are in the face of difficulty.

looking for an affordable or luxurious apartment? or an office space in a serene environment? is your best bet.

  • Ani February 16, 2016 at 10:14 pm

Jummo u did ur best by hawking on d streets and this 2nd part was left with GOD. God that lifted u will not let u down amen.

  • Sunday February 16, 2016 at 11:15 pm

This is my take on this story. When Jesus says ”love thy neighbour as thyself” (Matthew 22:36-40 ), That statement is an instruction/law as well as Spirit and life (John 6:63). TY Bello took a helping action regarding the lady and the spirit behind the word of God started to open doors for her. The same thing happened to me when someone took action regarding my case. Jesus wants this kind of action to be our way of life instead of regarding it as a miracle. Imagine if we all do this every time looking for ways to help one another the world would have become a better place to live including Nigeria. We should have a reason to thank God for using everyone of us to bless others instead of telling God to bless our neighbours
