Gidi Fest 16 is this weekend and the countdown is heating up!
Tickets are available now at www.gidifest.com and event organisers, Eclipse Live Africa have released the official Setlist & Schedule and have given out all the information attendees need to know in order to navigate Gidi Fest 16.
Gates open at noon and the first 500 attendees get free drinks vouchers from Strongbow. Beach sports, music and art kick off the festival day. At 1 PM the beach football and volleyball tournaments see celebrity teams battle it out against fan teams for a N50, 000 cash prize going to the tournament winners.
For art lovers and admirers, The Art Installation, curated by Indigo Arya and Myles Igwe provides a chance to explore sculptures, paintings, photographs and much more beauty from across the African continent.
This year, Gidi Fest goes cashless via Sanwo offline payment solutions. By loading up the bracelets with cash, attendees make all transactions at the festival through a simple wrist swipe.
Hyperia is providing free on-site Wi-Fi, giving festival goers unlimited access to social media so everyone can keep up with the #GidiFest16 tag.
After selling out last year, this year’s food court, managed by Nylah’s Catering, promises to be bigger and better than ever before, giving festivalgoers a great variety of dishes from across the continent.
The main stage opens up at 4:30 PM – hosts Nomuzi and Sensei Uche get the party started and musical heavyweights Tiwa Savage, Timaya, Phyno, Yemi Alade, Riky Rick, DJ Obi and many more light up the main stage. Keep your eyes glued to Gidi Fest’s social media, as we reveal a huge surprise headliner in the few days left before the festival.
