As fate would have it, we ran into each other a month later in New York. I remember telling my cousin, “I’m going to marry this woman.” You were so warm and giving. In 2007, when you were diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, I was heartbroken. The disease only made me realize that I never want to leave your side.
