Tiffany Amber: Redefining the African Princess

The Tiffany Amber collection was chic but not effortlessly so, and that’s perfectly fine. With intricate beadwork and embedded jewels, Folake Coker’s designs successfully appeals to royalty. The braided head crowns were an appropriate and elegant touch. Drawing on the classic shapes and feminity of Europe and the vibrancy of Africa, the FW collection of heavy shaunting silk slips and Irish linen coats are mixed with traditional Ankara fabrics. Folake Coker wants this to be a seasonless collection that feels as easily at home on the streets of Zurich, New York, London and Lagos.
