A Bloom, A Baby & A Rebirth: Banke Meshida-Lawal and her lil’ cutie Iris cover Genevieve’s July Issue

Banke Meshida-Lawal knew early on she’d make a brilliant make-up artist even while still studying as an English undergraduate at the University of Lagos. Her face still flushes with fond memories of how at the onset she playfully dug into a well-seated talent and passion to do her own make-up, producing some excellent results that regularly got her friends swarming all over her for a make- over . Of course she obliged them, since it was also fun for her. But she soon discovered that it was also a potential career niche, one that ten years on will have her blazing the trail in a fast-expanding industry. “It’s coming to exactly the way I’d thought about it… and I find that very interesting and exciting,” she quips. Now back from the United States with her bundle of joy…a baby girl, Banke is all poised to take on new challenges. In this July Edition, the entrepreneur speaks of the joy of being Iris’s mum, her product line- BM Pro, and taking her business forward.
