Its that time again, the Miss Universe competition is back! This year, it is being held in beautiful Bahamas and as has become a tradition on Bella Naija, we are showcasing the African Queens who are representing the motherland at the pageant.
These days, there are polarizing views on beauty pageants – feminists argue that it is sexist, others say that it is an outdated concept while others absolutely love it and can’t wait for the next pageant to crop up!

Anyway, lets focus on these ladies. I’m proud of the crop of African representatives – they all look beautiful! Nigeria is represented by MBGN Universe 2009 – Sandra Otohwo. You can visit her Miss Universe page HERE
