Together Forever As One: Obafemi Awe & Ashante Barnes Wed

On the 25th of July 2009 Obafemi Awe and Ashante Barnes took the final steps to becoming man and wife by taking the holy vows of matrimony in front of their families and friends who had come from both Atlanta and Lagos. The couple first met at a restaurant in Montclair, New Jersey in March 2007 and have been dating ever since.

The venue of the wedding was at the Pantagis Renaissance in Scoth Plains NJ, the colors Apple Red, Cream and Champagne set the tone for the color theme. The bride Ashante looked radiant in her Trumpet style wedding dress with champagne and ivory embellishments.Ashante’s locks were swept up in a classic up do and covered with an ivory veil. Obafemi looked dashing in his black suit and champagne colored tie.
