Get Checked This Month! Mass Breast & Cervical Cancer Screening in Abuja

Stand up to cancer naijaBreast and cervical cancer are the most deadly cancers that affect women. One out of every three women will develop breast cancer in their life time. Over 8,000 women die of cervical cancer every year in
Nigeria. Early detection of these cancer cells are one of the ways, Of reducing the high level of mortality today. Stand Up To Cancer Naija a non profit organization based in Nigeria is conducting a Mass Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening in Abuja. We collaborated with our technical partners (Breast Without Spots, Ego Bekee Cancer Foundation, Wish for Africa, George Kerry Foundation and ICCA) in January to screen over 4,000 women in Lagos and Abuja.

Yet again, we are pleased to announce another screening exercise holding in Abuja, on the 22nd to 24th of April 2010.Time is 9:30am to 5pm everyday, at Limi Hospital Behind ICPC/NDIC Central Area Abuja,Nigeria.This exercise is tagged “Mass Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening”. The cost for the screening is N2,000 (two thousand naira) for each woman. We are presently soliciting, for individuals,companies and organizations to help sponsor women for this exercise to enable us screen over 2,000 women for free.
