‘Insomnia Luxe’- Chichia London A/W 2010/11 Mini Collection

Chichia London Autumn/Winter 2010/11 collection, titled ‘Insomnia luxe’ presents coveted pieces for the fashion savvy woman.

Although a mini collection, Designer Christine Mhando really stretches out the vision for this collection; sticking to their signature Khanga fabric, she displays a variety of styles; a retro jumpsuit and a blazer, playful shorts, bold dresses complemented by simple silhouettes which are combined with fresh cuts and vibrant patterns like paisley, animal print and eccentric florals.

The fabrics are accented with dazzling embellishments on the neckline, lapels and the body of the garments, which contribute a great deal to the ‘luxe’ of this mini collection. We see 80’s structured shoulders re-enforce their relevance in contemporary fashion and as for the full skirt, it sure seems like it will be extending its reign beyond the bright days of summer.
