Kemkemstudio presents “Survival of the Fittest” Lookbook

Fashion label Kemkemstudio is out with the lookbook for its Ankara/Aso-oke collection titled “Survival of the Fittest“.

According to Kemmy Oguntosin Solomon, Creative Director of  Kemkemstudio: “Survival of the fittest is a fusion of the craze of downtown Lagos and the grunge of New York City. I also introduce my love for painting on garments in some of my pieces. The main fabric for this collection is Aso-oke with dashes of Ankara and chiffon/ traces of lace. Aso-oke in the yoruba culture means “high fashion” which is usually used for a brides traditional wedding. Its one of the main jewels of our country. Kemkemstudio Aso-oke is custom made here in Nigeria. I’m also involved in the whole process from picking the silk threads to the final product“.
