Just as she promised, all eyes were definitely on Omotola at her exclusive album release party. On the 24th of September 2010 at Eko Hotel in Lagos, Omotola treated a cross-section of her fans including politicians, musicians, actors, actresses and socialites to a thrilling showcase of her new album “Me, Myself & Eyes“.

Guests at the event included Chief Segun Osoba, Professor Pat Etomi, Abba Folawiyo, Grace Egbagbe, Florence Ita Giwa, Dele Momodu, Mofe and Dorothy Atake, 2Face Idibia, Sasha, AY, Chidi Mokeme, Stella Damasus, Munachi Abii, Omawumi and many others.

The event got off to an exciting start as veteran comedian Ali Baba who attended the event with his wife, Mary hit the stage and delivered a series of rib-cracking jokes. Up next was a documentary on Omotola’s life and career so far. The movie highlighted all the facets of Omotola’s life – as a mother, wife, musician and actress.

The next item on the agenda was the debut of her new video “Stop The War, Stop The War“. The song which features rapper Modenine was inspired by Omotola’s charity work and the poverty she has witnessed during her humanitarian trips she had taken to various war-torn African countries. The stage transitioned from the video into a live performance of the song.

The rest of the event was filled with lots of comedy and performances by the diva – Omotola. Omotola thoroughly enjoyed her time on stage and made various costume changes in between performances. From a black jumpsuit to a black and white dress and finally a red mini dress.

The final act of the evening was the cutting of the special “Me, Myself & Eyes” cake. Omo-T’s husband, Captain Matthew Ekeinde stood by his wife as she cut the cake, signifying a new chapter in her career.

The next day, Omotola was back on stage at the “Give and Let Give” gifting concert. The concert took place at Fantasy Land in Ikoyi, Lagos. The event was free and open to the public – there were performances  by Sound Sultan, Kore , Harrisong and Asha Gangali. All proceeds and gifts will be donated to the less privileged.
