“Fluid & Versatile Fashion for The Contemporary Nigerian Woman” by Alter Ego

Alter Ego is one of those Nigerian fashion brands that has been quietly making progress over the last few years. Alter Ego designer, Nwakaego Madueke shares their inspiration for their new collection:

“Alter Ego is designed for the Contemporary Nigerian woman who loves great design,who is not afraid of a little edginess, who wants to reference trends but is not a slave to fashion.As the Nigerian fashion industry evolves,the other side was yet to be seen – the Alter Ego side ,which registers a totally fresh appeal“

Alter Ego focuses on clean and fluid pieces – in order to achieve that breezy movement, they took the extra step to develop their own fabrics – they worked with their manufacturing partners to transfer the much loved ankara print to other fabrics including silk chiffon and jersey.

Alter Ego is not cutting edge fashion, instead they focus on using classic shapes such as the shift, the maxi, and the wrap dress etc… and combine that with their custom fabric to make wearable and versatile pieces.
