In pomp and purposeful pageantry that signaled its next corporate horizon, Nigerian outdoor advertising agency, Afromedia marked its 50th anniversary on Friday, October 22, 2010 at the Jasmine & Iris Hall of the Eko Hotel & Suites in Lagos.

As guests arrived at the event, they were welcomed by Elizabeth R ushers who led them through a lush orange carpet lobby beautified with framed photos of the company’s past and present directors. The K-Square Security crew was on guard as guests transitioned into onto a Cocktail Lounge where the celebration kicked off with a colorful cocktail party.

The MCs of the night Ali Baba & Tee A eventually invited the guests into the hall for the main event. Prayers were said and the national anthem was performed and then the fun began! There were insightful speeches and then great music as D’Banj, Dr SID, D’Prince, Omotola and 9ice got the crowd on their feet! Prizes were awarded to the winners of the Afromedia Creative Arts Contest, the MCs delivered wisecracks on stage and dance group Explicit also performed.  Long service awards were presented to deserving staffers including the MD/ CEO, Akin Ire Olopade who has spent over 15 years serving the company.
