Virgos Lounge Unveils “Peacock” Collection for Spring 2011
Virgos Lounge can definitely be counted amongst the fast emerging African brands. Three fashion savvy ladies were able to transform a simple business idea into a brand that offers vintage garments crafted to the sensibilities of the contemporary woman – It’s classic elegance demonstrated through a modern silhouette.
We’ve seen the brand consistently deliver, gradually paving their way and marking their name in the international fashion scene. It is a collection of short cocktail dresses and we see a few floor length dresses. In true Virgos Lounge fashion, it is clean sophisticated silhouettes combined with playful cuts and modern interpretations of vintage glam. We see sheer panels, lace, lots of pleat details, plunging necklines, it is all so beautiful to look at!
I love the intricate beading that adorn some the pieces. It’s an immaculately tailored collection. My favorite piece in this collection is the black sheer floor length dress. I admire the architectural structure and it is strikingly simple, a brand that manages to master that art, has won me over!
