Touch of Glamour Celebrates its 5th Anniversary – Introduces ‘Glamour Chic’ accessories and Relaunches Salon & Spa

It has been five fabulous years since entrepreneur Shola Adewunmi launched Touch of Glamour – a one stop beauty destination (Salon and Spa). On Saturday 23rd April 2011, Touch of Glamour celebrated its 5th anniversary and all through the month of April, clients enjoyed discounts on services at the salon and spa.

On Sunday 24th April 2011, an intimate event was hosted at Touch of Glamour to celebrate the relaunch of the salon/spa and introduce the Glamour Chic accessories collection. The event started with the brief introduction of TOG and updates of past and futures events, especially its anticipated hair show slated for later in the year. The hair show promises to be the biggest event of the year with a full aim of celebrating, informing, and educating the public at large about the importance and massive improvements in the beauty industry.

Thereafter, there was a raffle draw where several guests were awarded with gift vouchers and several gift items. It was sponsored by TOG in partnership with several beauty companies like Dark and Lovely, Organics, Olive oil, Gentle Treatment, Ultra Sheen Supreme and Gentle Touch, which gave away several gifts to all the guests and clients to take home. This was followed by a short hair show to entertain the guests and also to give a preview of the planned grand hair show. Models cat walked with different artistic hairstyles which added a lot of colour, fun, and creativity to the event. Guests were also treated to canapés and cocktail while they had a look at the Glamour Chic accessories collection.

Touch of Glamour was incorporated in 2006 as a unisex hair, beauty salon & spa. It was established to cater to the beauty needs of people who appreciate the glitz and glamour associated with dressing up and general grooming; hair, nails, skin, and facials. TOG was awarded the best salon of the year 2010 by City People Style Awards and was the first Nigerian salon to establish and have its own personalized debit card in association with Zenith Bank and Interswitch in 2007. Partnerships include the being the MBGN pageant’s official salon for a year, StyleMe TV show, Express Yourself TV show, Soundcity Blast magazine/Spice Television, Gem Woman Magazine, hosting a launch for Recare’s Gentle Touch with former beauty queen and model Oluchi Onweagba-Orlandi and several top fashion shows in Lagos.
