BN Bytes: Didier Drogba & Lalla Diakite’s Grand Monaco Wedding – Akon, J Martins & Abramovich on the Guestlist

This past weekend, Chelsea star/Ivory Coast international Didier Drogba walked down the aisle with his long-term partner and mother of his children, Lalla Diakite.

The wedding took place at the Marie de Monaco in Monaco. Though it was a private ceremony, it was definitely a grand occasion. According to online reports, the wedding was officiated by Chelsea owner, billionaire Roman Abramovich; groomsmen included Salomon Kalou and Florent Malouda. Other African stars including musician Akon were also on the guestlist. Didier and Lalla met over a decade ago when he was still a budding footballer based in Paris.

There was a Nigerian connection at the event as Nigerian musician J Martins performed alongside Fally Ipupa.

Didier and Lalla are keeping their wedding photos private but if they decide to release it, trust that BN will post the beautiful photos!
