Fidelity Bank supports the 1K4Cancer Campaign with a N1,000,000 donation!

Rising to the noble challenge of corporate social responsibility and diligently impacting the society, Fidelity Bank heeded to the 1k4Cancer call with a ground breaking donation of N 1, 000000 (One Million Naira) from their Fidelity Helping Hands Programme.

The 1K4Cancer Campaign Initiator – Wana Udobang couldn’t help but express deep gratitude for this truly amazing contribution, she said “Corporates like Fidelity Bank show that there are still a few Nigerians who recognize true ventures and support it! The less-fortunate breast cancer patients who will receive full treatment on account of this great donation will have the good staff of Fidelity Bank to thank for a very long time! This kind of support is overwhelming and truly unexpected especially in this selfless magnitude in the terrain called Nigeria where we live. 1k4Cancer is off to an impeccable start and by God’s grace, this is just the beginning. There is a dire sincere need to give to breast cancer treatment and Ik4Cancer is happy to be in the league of organisations that are taking the lead, making a difference and filling this need.”

In a statement, Community Relations Officer Fidelity Bank – Uche Ogbonna said “What started as a light hearted discussion about Wana’s drive to raise one million naira through 1k4Cancer for the Sebeccly Cancer Care Center became a raging fire when the thought of joining the drive crossed our hearts.” The raging fire indeed spread through the team of ambassadors in the Fidelity Helping Hands Programme who one-on-one began to spread the word from one initial email, assuredly 1K4Cancer’s mission spread across all the Fidelity Bank branches and the staff began to give. In three short weeks, the funds trickled in until One Million Naira was raised to help alleviate the challenge of cancer in someone’s life.”

The cheque was presented by the MD /CEO Fidelity Bank – Reginald Ihejiahi on behalf of the Helping Hands Ambassadors and all staff of the bank who supported this cause, he also conveyed the excitement and pride of Fidelity Bank staff in achieving this munificent feat.

As at press time, Fidelity Bank’s donation brings 1K4Cancer’s raised funds to a total of  N 2, 500000 ( 2.5 Million Naira).

Sebeccly Cancer Care and Support Center, Wana Udobang and 1K4Cancer team are immensely grateful for this show of kindness as the sincere hope is that such goodwill will continue and be rewarded bountifully.
