This is most definitely a year for remixes and good ones at that. So far, we’ve had Saeon’s “Ara” remix, P-Square’s “Chop My Money” remix with Akon and now we’re still reveling in Ice Prince’s “Magician” remix with Gyptian. As a result, we at BN decided to face off two unofficial rap remixes, the remix of Davido‘s “Dami Duro” by Sai Phifer, Victoria Kimani and Archapello; and the remix to Brymo‘s “Ara” by Exdee.

Sai Phifer & Archapello are twins; Sai is a rapper/singer while Archapello is a singer/producer. Although they were born in Zimbabwe, living in Europe and Asia are very large influences in defining their music.

The remix also features Victoria Kimani, originally from Kenya who started writing, recording and performing at 16 and also lived in Nigeria her high school years. Victoria is now working on her debut album. With singles, “Oleku Remix”“Betta”, “Ayaya” and “Shin Shin” which features Ron Browz & Busta Rhymes under her belt; she’s definitely a rising African star.

Exdee (real name Abubakar Sadiq Ayanlere) is a 27 year old Ahmadu Bello University Architecture graduate. He has been on the underground scene for quite a while now and attempts to prove himself on the mainstream “Ara” remix he has conjured up.

Now, with a little background on both unofficial rap remixes, we want to know what you feel about either of them. Enjoy!
