BN Bytes: Alternative Soul Sensation Bez Kicks Off His New York Tour at SOB’s

Bez brews a unique blend of alternative soul with a mug full of his sonorous voice and hybrid sprinkles of African, Soul, Rock, Jazz and R&B music that clearly sets him apart from the rest.

Being a natural performer with a charismatic and playful stage presence, Bez has opened for the likes of Asa, Angie Stone, Yvonne Chaka Chaka; and in March of this year, Bez and his band performed 2 concerts on the Spinlet- All Africa Showcase at the 2012 SXSW musical festival in Austin, Texas; opening for Seun Kuti and Blitz the Ambassador.

He was also the first African artiste to premiere a music video on BET International’s “106 & Park” for his hit single “That Stupid Song”. So, with so much in the bag and still so much more to offer, it’s no surprise he’s about to tour New York to spread the word of the music that is “Bez”.

Bez kicks of his tour on:

• Wednesday May 16 2012 at SOB’s along with a series of artists. Doors open at 7 pm (EST). – 204 Varick Street  New York, NY 10014 ( Corner of Varick and 7th ave. Right off the Houston stop on the 1 train).

Then, he moves on to:

• The Apple Store, in Soho on May 17th @ 7 PM (EST)  – 72 Greene Street  New York, NY 10012 http://www.apple.com/retail/soho/

• Bez will also be the featured guest of Society HAE on a live radio broadcast on www.bboxradio.com on May 22^nd from 5pm-7:30 (EST). Live acoustic set starts at 6pm.

And then, his last venue is:

•  The Shrine in Harlem on May 23^rd @ 10pm (EST). 2271 Adam Clayton Powell Jr Bl  New York, NY 10030.
