Lanre DaSilva Ajayi Unveils her Label’s Capsule Collection for the 2012 Pitti Immagine W Trade Show in Florence, Italy – The Lookbook

Just last month, Nigerian fashion designer Lanre DaSilva Ajayi with self named label, made headlines alongside other African designers by taking part in Vogue Italia and Yoox.com’s “Discovered in Africa by Vogue Italia exclusively on Yoox.com” project which saw her label debut its pieces on leading retail site Yoox.

Taking yet another step in showcasing Nigerian fashion at the international scene, Lanre DaSilva Ajayi is currently in Florence, Italy to unveil her label’s capsule collection at the 2012 Pitti Immagine W Trade Show which kicked off yesterday and will run till Friday 22nd June 2012. This year, Pitti Immagine W included Nigeria as a guest nation in collaboration with Lagos Fashion Week. According to Pitti Immagine W, LDA and other Nigerian fashion designers were included on its list to stimulate exchange and further mutual knowledge and understanding with fashion talents from emerging nations that have come forward in recent seasons with some of the most interesting concepts in fashion research.

The power fashion designer displays some of her most creative work yet for the trade show. The capsule collection consists of her well known Victorian and Edwardian era influenced pieces with a modern twist.
