Eternal Love: Amina Chukwueke & Tunde Oyelola Junior Wed

Amina Chukwueke and Tunde Oyelola Junior‘s can be described as a double dose of fabulous splendour. The deux theme doesn’t stop there, it actually started in the very beginning when they were introduced by two mutual friends at a dinner party but nothing really happened then…it took a second meeting at another friend’s birthday party for them to really hit it off! This time, it was for keeps as their friendship and relationship grew from there!

Thankfully, TJ didn’t have to propose twice, instead, he planned a thrilling surprise proposal armed with what his bride describes as “the prettiest ring ever!” and she said YES.

On the 7th of April 2012, Amina and TJ headed to Awaka in Owerri, Imo State for their traditional wedding. Their family and friends were super supportive as they flew in en-masse for the festive occasion. It was a thrilling ceremony filled with pomp, pageantry and tradition as Amina and TJ completed the Igba Nkwu Nwanyi ceremony with an added touch of glamour including fireworks and lots of fun.

The stage was set for Amina and TJ’s white wedding in Lagos on the 21st of April 2012, the bride set the beautiful tone for the day as she stepped out in her stunning couture gown accessorized with a cathedral length lace trimmed veil and a delicate yet dazzling headband. The lace bodice,  silk duchess satin cummerbund and full circle silk satin faced organza skirt of Amina’s dress was a perfect fit for the bride as she evoked timeless Grace Kelly-esque glamour which resonated throughout the wedding. The groom TJ looked dapper in his blue tuxedo with black lapels and an elegant black bow-tie. The bridal party added pops of colour in their pink and blue lace dresses while the groomsmen kept things sleek in their black suits.

Amina and TJ’s church service was uplifting as they exchanged vows in the presence of their families and friends. Then it was time for the reception. The all-white theme of the reception complemented by delicate touches of pink had vintage elements with candelabras and pretty white rose balls all around the venue. It was a totally fun day for everyone in attendance as guests enjoyed music including a surprise performance by rap superstar Naeto C as they savoured the yummy treats and drinks. The bride, Amina added another surprise into the mix as she also gave a speech after her groom’s unique toast. At the end of the day, it was time for another double thrill as the couple changed into their party wear with Amina in a showstopping sequined dress and TJ in a stylish black suit as they danced the night away surrounded by their family, friends and well wishers.
