Ever wondered why weekends are so short? You spend five long days waiting for it and when it comes, poof! It’s all over and then you start all over again. I was moaning about this recently and someone who worked in customer care reminded me to quit whining and enjoy the ‘regularity’ of the hours.

So, what did you guys get up to this weekend? I went for a wedding on Saturday. It was the perfect party. Plenty friends, plenty to drink and the music was simply off the hook. Then there was a live performance of “Today Today” by eLDee!!! I nearly screamed myself hoarse. Now, all my friends know I’m a shameless eLDee fan. I mean, “Shake Bodi” was the jam of jams in my late teens. The man can do NO wrong in my eyes. Knowing he was in the SAME space as me was enough to keep me smiling stupidly the ENTIRE time. The friend I went to the party with called me “shameless” to which I responded “I gree”.

As I think back on my ‘shakey shakey’ behaviour of Saturday, I remember how I asked Jibola to find a way to introduce me to the Threadstone guys and his response was “I can’t get over the way you were acting when I introduced you to Bez”. I’m sorry but I’m one of those people who go crazy when they see their favorite celebs in person. I’m local like that!

I remember when DBanj’s Tongolo was receiving massive air play on radio and on TV, I was on a flight to London with DBanj…. I was so star struck that I was tongue-tied. I didn’t know whether to jump or to laugh or to cry. Eventually, I played it cool and just kept asking my friend to see if he was coming back in our direction.

But that was then. Today, if I see a celeb that I’m crazy about, I’m so jumping there to tell them how great they are in my estimation. I might even faint depending on how high the celeb is on my scale of “Swoon-Worthy”.

I’m not alone in this. I found a video on YouTube of, radio personality, Toolz’ reaction to the delectable artiste, Praiz. Ain’t no shame in the game of fainting my dear friends… Ain’t no shame!

Anyway, let me leave you guys now. Have a fabulous week ahead. Find a reason to smile no matter what you’re going through and remain positive.

Don’t forget to share your experiences of how you’ve handled your celebrity sighting and what celebrity you think if you ever get a chance to meet in person would make you go crazy. What would you do if you were standing on a queue to grab a burger and Beyonce’s behind you?

Here’s a fun video on how to handle celebrity sightings.

Love, peace and cupcakes!
