Gen. Muhammadu Buhari loses 40 Year-Old Daughter to Sickle Cell

Sadly, former  Head of State and a former presidential candidate, Maj-Gen Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) has lost his first daughter Zulai.

She passed away on Thursday evening after delivering a baby in Nasara Hospital, Marafa Estate in Kaduna. Zulai Buhari, 40,  died from sickle cell anemia. Sahara Reporters learnt that she developed complications after having a baby two days ago at  Chasel Hospital, a private clinic in Ungwar Sarki area of Kaduna.

She passed away despite efforts save her. However, the new born baby is healthy and doing well. She left behind Amira, Moh’d and the two-day-old  baby girl.

May her soul Rest In Peace and may God grant her family and children the fortitude to bear the loss.
