Social Media WeekIt’s a brand new week! Hope yours is going well so far.

Social Media Week Lagos kicks off today. I am so excited about it because in the almost 7 years (yes, it’s been that long!) since I founded BellaNaija, I have seen social media grow exponentially across Africa. In Nigeria, I am happy whenever I meet enterprising Nigerians who have been inspired by the BellaNaija story. Also, no one can deny the indelible impact that social media has had on our businesses and lives here in Nigeria.

These are just a few of the topics that will be discussed and explored during “An Evening with Leaders” at Social Media Week Lagos 2013. I am really honoured to be on the panel alongside Former Nigerian President and founder of the Olusegun Obasanjo FoundationOlusegun Obasanjo, founder of Africa 2.0Mamadou Toure and CEO of Sahara Energy Group/Country Chair of Africa 2.0 Tonye Cole.

I’m really looking forward to it and hopefully will get to meet our BN family there. I hope you already registered because I hear the session is fully booked at this point.
