Last month, a two-day conference tagged 100 Years of the Nigerian Woman: Achieving 50/50 by 2020 took place at the Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The event was sponsored by Folorunsho Alakija and it is part of the Nigeria Centenary Celebration. The event is aimed at reinforcing the role of women in nation building.

The event kicked off with inspiring speeches and panel discussions. At night, the ladies got to network and be entertained at the Gala Dinner.

Guests including First Lady of Nigeria Dame Patience Jonathan, Bola Shagaya, Rita Dominic, Oluchi Orlandi, Sammy Okposo, Onyeka Onwenu, Erelu Abiola Dosunmu, TY Bello, Musiliu Obanikoro, Princess Dammy, Lepacious Bose, Taiwo Ajai-Lycett, Nike Davies Okundaye and Ara were ushered into the arrivals lounge which was decorated with images of some of Nigeria’s most iconic women.
