Heineken presents Share the Sofa - March 2014 - BellaNaija 01

Heineken has fantastic news to share with all football lovers in the BN hub.

Are you ready to #ShareTheSofa with @Heineken & Ruud Gullit ?

That’s the question we want you to answer when Manchester City attempts to produce one of the most famous comebacks ever witnessed in Champions League history.

The Champions League trophy is in Lagos and Ruud Gullit will be on our sofa with Barcelona aiming to make it through to the quarter finals following a 2-0 first leg win in Manchester.

We want you to get involved by sending your questions and views to Ruud, who will be watching the game from the new Heineken House in Lagos and giving his opinion on the big match.

So if you’re in Lagos or anywhere in the world for that matter, you can get involved by using the hashtag #sharethesofa and tweeting your questions to @Heineken.

You can also view the responses on Tumblr – http://heineken.tumblr.com/ with the game kicking off at 20.45pm GMT.

About Ruud Gullit –

Nobody knows European football like Ruud Gullit, one of the finest players to have ever graced the competition. A double European Cup winner with the famous AC Milan team of the 1990s, Netherlands legend Ruud will be on hand to give you the inside track on the night’s events.

Ruud wants to know who you think will come out on top at the Camp Nou – It’s Barcelona against Manchester City – and it’s going to be epic.

Can City spring a surprise? Or will Barca cruise into the last eight? And don’t worry about being shy – the bigger and bolder your predictions the better.

So which way is this tie going? Barcelona will be hoping to bounce back following a disappointing 1-0 weekend defeat by Real Valladolid – a result which leaves them four points off league leaders Real Madrid.

Star striker Lionel Messi, who tormented City in the first leg, has been struggling over the past week since vomiting on the pitch during Argentina’s goalless draw with Romania.

Tata Martino’s side have lost two of their three league games since they returned from England with pressure building on the Argentine manager.

But it would take a brave person to bet against Barcelona slipping up against a Manchester City side which has never reached the last-16 of the Champions League.

City, beaten at home in the FA Cup by Championship Wigan on Sunday, will have to up their game if they are to prosper on their debut appearance at Camp Nou.

History is not on City’s side, despite their fine 3-2 victory at holders Bayern Munich in the Group Stage earlier this season where they came from two goals down to win.

Only twice in Champions League history has a team recovered from a home first leg defeat to go through with both Ajax (1995/96) and Inter Milan (2010/11) managing to progress.

But if they are going to succeed, they will have to do it with manager Pellegrini sitting in the stands after he was given a three-match ban following his post-match rant against Swedish referee Jonas Eriksson following the first leg.

Whatever the outcome, it promises to be an absolute cracker. Make sure you don’t miss any of the action by joining Ruud Gullit on the Heineken Sofa and tweet him your questions here in Lagos.

BN Football lovers, what are your predictions?!
