Two 12 year old American Girls Stab Friend 19 Times to Impress Internet Character
Two 12-year-old girls stabbed their friend to impress someone they met on the Internet.
They lured their friend, who is also their age mate, into a wooded area in Milwaukee last weekend, and stabbed her 19 times, CNN reports.
She was severely wounded but luckily, her life was saved because she was found by a bicyclist who was riding around the area. She is now receiving treatment at a hospital and is in stable condition.
The girls intended to kill their friend to impress a certain “Slenderman,” whom they met on a website called “Creepypasta Wiki,” which posts horror stories.
Slenderman is the site’s leader, and to be a part of his world, a user must first kill someone.
The fictional Slenderman character is reportedly an internet meme that often appears in horror stories, images, and videos.
Although both girls are minors, they will face trial as adults. They have been charged with attempted homicide.
