Mo-Abudu-50th-Birthday-October2014-BellaNaija194Mo Abudu’s 50th birthday celebration is one of the biggest events that has happened this year and even though BellaNaija brought you the first photos and details of the event (click here if you missed it), there is still so much more to be seen.

EbonyLife TV founder and ‘Moments with Mo’ host, Mo Abudu owned the whole day with an early morning church service and then an intimate brunch for family and friends. After this she stepped things up with the extravagant soiree held at Oriental Hotel, Lagos.

Mo used the opportunity of her birthday to also recognize hard-working and impactful women in Nigeria through the Sisterhood Awards.

The night was filled with jokes form host Basketmouth, dancing from several performances -from Tiwa Savage, Waje, Chidinma, Iyanya, Efya, Nikki Laoye, Chee and many more – as well as gorgeous décor with amazing food.

Take a look at all the stylish pictures from the event!

Beautiful and human-studded. I wish Aunty Mo a happy life. What surprises me is that in an event filled with a lot of ladies, you hardly see people wearing the same thing with the celebrant or with other strangers. Sometimes, I wonder how nature helps us arrange such things. Very nice occasion.

Lovely picture, beautiful event. Btw BN welldone for ditching the titles when writing some of the former political office holder’s names….that’s how it should be. Little things like this can help change d perception on politics in Nigeria.

That’s Nicky Laoye, “Gospel Singer” baring boobs et al, yeah yeah yeah, u have a right to wear what u want but have it in ur thick skull that u are ALL the Bible some people would ever see, that was indecent over exposure, who needs to see ur tits and cleavages? Wen u drop hints to leave imaginations running wild? Can u wear this drab rag to Church, HOTR? I’ve lost every atom of regard for u

    • reginald

      November 4, 2014 at 8:38 pm

This comment is really dumb! So u look at the outfit and all u see is boobs? U must be loony bin! That dress is amazing and classy. Sadly for you, she’s not gonna see ur degrading comment. Tits and cleavage??? Where??? U r looking for attention! Crawl back into ur cave

    • ebele

      November 5, 2014 at 9:09 am

Drab rag? Tits? Do u know what Tits are? This dress doesn’t even draw attention to her cleavage! It’s a lovely dress, I even saw it on some other blogs and I was wowed. Your comment seems quite spiteful. I wonder if u have a personal beef with nikki. If not, then Sue, u’re barking up the wrong tree, she’s one of the bes dressed nominees!

The “stars” came out to play. Please is that Mai Atafo’s wife? She’s so pretty.

When will “Her Excellency” Mrs Obioma Imoke get her bra right? She needs a free bra fitting session with M&S. She can arrive in the morning with her private jet, do her session in the afternoon and fly back to Calabar in the evening. It’s not hard for her ilk.

Mosun Ogunbanjo – still beautiful after all these years. Zainab Balogun – you have got it and you know it. Ufuoma Ejenobor – the polish is on. Good job. I haven’t changed my mind about my favourite outfit at this party. Rita Dominic, “wagbayi.”

The 2 Bolas (nee Aguda and nee Babalola) – BFFs for life. Reminiscing the UNILAG days.

Dede and Ruth in the same place? Coughs!

Mr and Mrs Segun Fagboyegun and Mr and Mrs Donald Duke – class personified.

Some ladies need to extend their lotions to their legs and feet. The darkness down there isn’t flattering at all. Madam inclusive.

    • Susan

      November 4, 2014 at 3:55 pm

She’s not his wife. Her name is Ifeyinwa (loveifeyinwa), she’s an amazing hair blogger, amongst other things and she also won an award that night.
By the way, With all the money from Cross-River State, I’d never understand why Mrs. Obioma cannot get a proper bra. That area always looks weird! And those her very long nails, looks too tacky. I cringe whenever I see her nails, too long. Anyway, that’s probably how she likes it :s
Mo’s kids are absolutely adobs! Her daughter and her look so much alike.

The first part of the pictures showcases. The real lagosians. The classy, rich sophisticated silent socialist. The classy brunch. The later part of thd pictures depicts the wannabes and strugglers. Mai Atafo wife is beautiful. Lovely expensive and classy event. Governor mimiko. You look sexy.

Lovely pics…beautiful woman. But geez I can only imagine the cacophony of “British-American” accents in a house full of Lagos socialites…..I would slit my wrists.

this is one of the classiest events i have seen in a long time. See silent wealthy and decent people. They are not all over the place yet they exude class. Happy birthday Mo wish you long life and all the best. You must have been proud of the turn out of you event. thumbs up

  16. Niyoola

    November 4, 2014 at 6:38 pm

Watched the event on TV last weekend. I was appalled when some dude with a white beard said “hope you find a husband that will complete you soon …” Or something similar. Very low and tactless for the guy, and he’s supposed to be a life coach! Smh.

    Lovely event and photos.
Mo seems to be covering her tummy area with her hands, you look good all day everyday, no thing to cover up ma’am

Very nice event. Terry Waya is always the token Tiv man in any lagos social event, he should adopt a yoruba name soon!

    November 5, 2014 at 6:28 am

The breakfast with the family was more intimate, sincere, yet classy. I looooooove every bit of it and I am sure that was her most memorable moment of all the events. As a media mogul, I however understand her urge to gather all and get the groove going but some of those guests look out of place and outright bored. Too much gbogbo ero. I love small, intimate yet classy gatherings.

    My best dressed list:
    1. Mo Abudu
    2. Rita dominic
    3. Nikki laoye
    4. Ufuoma Ejenobor
    5. Genevieve Nnaji

    Not so best dressed:
    1. Tiwa Savage (too bare)
    2. Sasha P (too there)
    3. Chidinma ekile (too playful)
