AFRIFF 2014 Roundup – See Rita Dominic, Kate Henshaw, Mo Abudu and More Photos from the Last Days of the 2014 AFRIFF

The 2014 Africa International Film Festival Workshop ended a few weeks ago and we are still beside ourselves at the amazing way things turned out (click here if you missed the first post).

The event happens to be one of the biggest events for the African film industry and a lot of stars turned up to celebrate the film industry with workshops, seminars and a gala night.

The theme for the closing gala of AFRIFF 2014 was Magic, to round up what had been a truly magnificent week. Here are the winners of the night:

Best Feature – October 1
Best Nigerian Film – Ojuju
Best Actor – Sadiq Daba for October 1
Best Actress – Thishiwe Ziqubu for Hard to Get
Best Screenplay – October 1
Best Director – Andrew Dosunmu
Best Documentary – Supreme Price
Outstanding Jury Award – Om Amira
Best Short Film – Stiff
Best Student Short – Aissa’s Story
Audience Choice Award – Gone Too Far

10 lucky students also received scholarships to study film in the States next year.

At the event several celebrities were spotted – Rita Dominic, Beverly Naya, Gideon Okeke, Gbenro Ajibade, Enyinna Nwigwe, Chelsea Eze, Blossom Chijekwu, Adeyemi Okanlawon, Mbong Amata and many more.
