BN Beauty: All You Need to Know About Lupita Nyong’o’s 72nd Golden Globes Beauty Look
After her stellar red carpet presence throughout last year, Lupita Nyong’o has since become not only a favourite on the red carpet, but a style and beauty icon.
Yesterday, 11th January 2014, Lupita graced the red carpet at the 72nd Golden Globes in a purple Giambattista Valli dress with floral details.
We had to take a closer look at Lupita’s makeup look that coupled her purple dress, especially as she’s a beauty brand – Lancôme ambassador.

Lupita is never one to shy away from bright and bold colours, and for her red carpet appearance she rocked purple eyeshadow and a pretty magenta lip colour.
Her makeup look was created by makeup artist Nick Barose who used a Lancome lipstick in Hit List, lined her lips with Le Lipstique in Sheer Chocolat and finished with Lancome’s Lip Lover in Framboise Etoile for a nice dewey look.
Nick then used Lancome’s Nude Miracle Liquid-to-Powder Makeup, Transclucent Mattifying Powder and Armani Fluid Sheer in #4 for perfect skin.
Lupita was definitely feeling her look as she shared a video getting ready and prepping her lips to stun the red carpet.
For her eyes, Nick used different shades of purple and jewel tones in the Bright Eyes Colour Design 5-Pan Eyeshadow Palette in Jacaranda Bloom and Artliner in Aubergine. She also lined her eyes with Le Style Waterproof Long Lasting Eye Liner in Café Noir and Amethyst and finished off with Lancome’s Grandiode Mascara for fluttery lashes.
For her hair, Lupita debuted a new look with a blown out mini-fro.
