Divorce Proceedings Reveal Nick Cannon took $470,000 Loan to Buy Mariah Carey’s Engagement Ring, While He Had $500,000 to His Name

TMZ exclusively revealed surprising details of music legend Mariah Carey, 44 and TV host/actor Nick Cannon, 34’s financial status before their marriage.

Before their wedding in 2008, Nick reportedly took out a $470,000 loan to buy Mariah a $500,000 engagement ring.

At the time, he only had $500,000 to his name.

According to the confidentiality clause in their prenuptial agreement, Mariah will pay $500,000 if she violates it, while Nick will only have to pay half of that, if he reveals any details – $250,000.
