A Fashion First for Nigeria? House of Marie presents its Rainy 2015 Collection – “Ethan’s Frame”

Nigerian womenswear brand, House of Marie is going against the grain of the fashion industry with this collection!

Tagged their Rainy 2015 collection, the brand presents a selection of prints, asymmetrical hemlines, architectural influences and more in its “Ethan’s Frame” collection lookbook.

The brand decided to deviate from the regular Autumn/Winter and Spring/Summer season instead to honour the climatic realities of the country.

The mood board is reflective of key concepts that inspired the collection like asymmetric architecture, a frame within a frame and the basic idea of inception; and created the pieces based on creative and artistic inception anchored by a use of strong asymmetry.

As a brand that loves colour, HOM brings the colour of rain through in muted tones and palettes this season. True to its inspiration, the collection features a variety of fabrics and textures bordered by contrasting textures and fabrics.
