“We used to share 40 Naira as Students!” Biodun & Deji’s Love Story & Wedding Video

Deji and his bride, Biodun met as teenagers.

They met through her older sister, Omo and his cousin, PJ who were friends. She was 15 at the time, and had just finished secondary school. She said she got a crush on him INSTANTLY, but because he was 4 years older, she kept it to herself.

Around him, she acted shy, but she would always urge her best friend, Khadijah, to escort her to his street. After a few years, one fateful day, her sister and PJ teased him about a boyfriend, and she confessed she liked him! And that’s where it started.

However, she ‘friend-zoned’ him in University, until one day, when he brought a girlfriend to his house. She was downstairs with her best friend, Khadijah, and he asked her to leave to make his female guest more comfortable. Her jealousy sparked her to leave upset, but when she returned that evening, she sat him down and told him he’s looking at his girlfriend!

The most touching part of their story is their humble beginnings,

“from the onset we used to share our little stipends (as students) like 50 Naira.”

He then proposed with the tab of a Coke can years later!
