Yesterday, when BellaNaija featured the sad news about the major fire outbreak at Prince Ebeano Supermarket in Lekki, BellaNaijarians commented that the situation highlighted the socioeconomic issues Nigerians are facing today. Basically, whether you are in Lekki or Makoko, without access to public services such as an effective fire service, the result in times of calamity is often the same – tragic.
