Let’s Talk About It! Donald Trump’s Proposed “Muslim Ban” from the USA

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump says all Muslim travel to the U.S. should be banned.

The millionaire real estate mogul’s campaign has been a controversial one. However, this is his most contended statement yet.

The official campaign message as delivered by Trump himself said;

“Donald J. Trump is calling for a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country’s representatives can figure out what (the hell) is going on…we have no choice, we have no choice“

As he spoke, his supporters reacted with applause.

Key public figures worldwide have reacted in shock and disbelief including the White House press secretary Josh Earnest who said; “The fact is what Donald Trump said yesterday disqualifies him from serving as president.” He noted first that every president must take an oath to “preserve, protect and defend” the U.S. Constitution and based on Trump’s statements, he would not qualify.

That did not stop many of Trump’s supporters who are standing by their candidate amidst global fears about ISIS and other terrorist groups especially with the recent attacks in Paris.

If such a ban is ever implemented, millions of Nigerians who visit the USA regularly will be affected.
