#DoGood2016 – Kano Girl in Bowl receives Wheelchair, Brother gets Scholarship
This is what we like to read. Stories like celebrity feuds and baby mama drama may trend but social media exposure also makes a positive impact when people are in need.
On the last day of 2015, this heartbreaking photo of a young lady in Kano with a congenital condition resulting in no lower body being carried by her brother in a bowl went viral.
The photo was retweeted hundreds of times and since then, people from around the country have offered and given support. She has now received a wheelchair.
In addition, an NGO – Community Health and Research Initiative has set aside funds for the young boy’s education and the lady’s food and clothing. If you will like to help, please contact the organization, click HERE for contact info.
No matter how little we have, we should never stop giving. In today’s world, we see so much hardship, that it is easy to become “immune” to feeling empathy, let’s try to support our brothers and sisters.
