Tag Heuer in Partnership with Zakaa signs DJ Obi as “Friend of the Brand”

Obinna Levi Ajuonuma Jnr better known as DJ Obi is reputed for being one of the finest DJs in Nigeria and he just signed a milestone endorsement deal with renowned Swiss Watch brand Tag Heuer.

The deal, organized by Tag Heuer’s Nigeria partners, Zakaa, will see DJ Obi join the likes of Real Madrid footballer Raphaël Varane, Actress Yulia snigir and Bruno Senna – Formula E race car driver, as Tag Heuer Friend of the Brand.

The deal was inked at a well appointed valentine party hosted by The Transcorp Hilton hotel Abuja in partnership with Tag Heuer and Zakaa.

The event saw DJ Obi thrill the guests with world class play from the turn table. Tag Heuer collection was on display, including for the first time in Nigeria the Carrera Calibre 01.

At a press brief after signing the deal, Tag Heuer representative Sezno Benson said, “I am delighted to have DJ Obi join the TAGHeuer Family. As a DJ You have a huge responsibility of keeping the crowd excited and creating the right ambience. You are the life of the party. It can be difficult to do this on a consistent basis and that’s what separates Obi from the rest. He’s creative and constantly upping his game, he maintains his cool and never cracks under pressure. These are values that make him the right choice for this endorsement, values that embody the Tag Heuer brand.”

David Osadolor, Luxury Retail Manager for Zakaa also commented “we are committed to getting International luxury brands to be more involved in building the industry locally. Last year we opened the first Swiss Luxury watch brand mono-boutique in the region, now we have midwifed this endorsement deal for the very talented DJ Obi and we are just getting started”.
