Boy Allegedly Shot and Killed in Lagos by Female NSCDC Officer over Fuel

The fuel scarcity situation in the country has led to the death of a teenager around AP filling station in Festac Town, Lagos.

The deceased was alleged to have bought fuel in a jerrycan and was heading home when officers of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC accosted him and arrested him.

According to The SUN, an eyewitness said that the boy who was about 18 years of age, was seen lying on the floor begging the officers that they should allow him go that he was not a fuel hawker was shot by a female NSCDC officer on the directive of their commander for resisting arresting.

The eyewitness also said that as soon as the officials saw the boy in his pool of blood, they hopped on their patrol van and fled the scene.

Officers of the Op Mesa and the Nigeria Police led by the FESTAC Police Station Divisional Police Officer, Monday Agbonika as at press time, were on ground, making sure that the angry mob who attempted to set the filling station and some petrol tankers ablaze were controlled.
