Over the weekend there were rumours that YBNL’s Lil Kesh will be leaving the record label – founded by Olamide – to start up his own this year.

So far there has been no confirmation or denial from Olamide and Lil Kesh on the matter.

One thing that is certain is that if the rumours turn out to be true, Olamide will be very excited for Lil Kesh.

In 2015, Olamide shared a series of tweets stating that after each of his signees are done with their 2 year contract he’d be happy for them to start up their own label because his prayer for them is “not to be slaves or dependent”.

Looks like Lil Kesh is slowing moving towards that. According to reports, his 2-year contract with YBNL is over and he might not be renewing.

In the past two years Olamide and Lil Kesh have worked together to create so many hit songs from “Shoki” to “Lyrically” to “Efejoku”…and every song was a hit.

We also can’t wait to see what Lil Kesh will call his new label. Rumour has it he’s inching towards “Y.A.G.I” which means Young And Getting It.
