A talented shoe maker in Lagos, Babatunde Lawal lost his ability to walk after getting shot in a bus robbery. Since he was unable to afford a corrective surgery, he turned his shoe making abilities into a profitable business.

BattaBox presenter Adeola went on a visit to his house-turned-workshop where he makes shoes for a living. His mother also had some amazing things to say about him and attitude towards work, “He’s not a lazy boy, he’s very hardworking”.

Apart from his business, Babatunde talked about the accident and how he has been struggling to survive in Lagos. “They beat me, shot me, robbed me and dropped me by the roadside,” he said while recounting the ordeal.

Although Babatunde is soliciting for help so he can go for his operation, he hopes to own his own business in the future. “My aim is to own my own business, but I can’t raise money for it”.
