World Sickle Cell Day 2016: BattaBox Joins Various NGOs to Walk and Raise Awareness for Sickle Cell Disorder in Lagos

Battabox presenter Odunayo joined professionals, celebrities, friends of people with Sickle Cell Disorder and SCD warriors, to bring awareness to a cause that the UN has tagged a public health problem on the 2016 World Sickle Cell Day on Saturday, June 11th 2016. They sought to draw attention and create necessary awareness to the problems posed by sickle cell disorder.

While talking to some people living with sickle cell during the walk, Odunayo asked some how they have coped living with the disorder and how to prevent a breakdown.

“If you know what triggers your disease, you can curb it…. This walk helps to create awareness and show people what can be done”.
