…And the #C9ja Tour Came to an Exciting End with a Tour of Calabar and Lagos

The TECNO Mobile C9ja travellers left for Calabar after visiting Ibadan, Abuja and Enugu, still armed with the Tecno Camon C9 – the newly launched device which captures incredible photos even with its front camera.

Calabar had quite a number of historic points and beautiful sites, but it was quite unfortunate that we spent an ample time trying to settle some issues with local authorities there. By the time we finished with them, the hassling had eaten deeply into our time, and there was only so much we could do. Nonetheless, we had a fabulous time and saw some wonderful sites in Calabar, with the visit to Tinapa resort being the highlight of it all. Our tour guide was very entertaining, informative and extremely good company.

We moved quickly from the Mary Slessor statue located at the roundabout on Mary Slessor Avenue, and we were soon on our way to Cultural center complex, a thriving spot for cultural and social activities in Calabar. The complex houses implausible cultural related pieces and facilities for theatre and conference events, it offers an outstanding setting where culture can be celebrated and knowledge can be communicated. And then we moved on, to capture the carved Monoliths on our way to the University of Calabar.

It really was a wonderful experience; the perfect combination of culture and relaxation in Calabar will leave you humming for days. Swimming in the secluded Tinapa Resort, divine assortment of excellent food and great company. What more could we ask for? Everyone had great fun, and captured exciting moments with the Camon C9. When it was time to leave for Lagos, we left refreshed, relaxed and better informed.

In Lagos, we visited the Lekki Conservation Centre (LCC), a nature park. The reserve, which covers a land area of 78 hectare is located on Lekki Peninsula, is next to the Lekki Lagoon. Approaching the reserve, a boulevard of coconut trees ushers you to a well laid out Car and Visitors Park. The reserve is bestowed with an abundance of plant and animal life. There is a cone-shaped building that serves as an amphitheater for lectures, conferences, and seminars. There, you have the opportunity of seeing rare collection of beautiful photos of endangered species of animals and plants arranged in glass stands around the oval hall. We also had the pleasure of taking the famous Canopy Walk (the longest skywalk in Africa, and the second longest in the world).

We also did a quick tour of some of the monumental sites Lagos prided itself of having, from the 3rd Mainland Bridge to TBS, to Freedom Park and other great sites in the city.

Lagos was quite the experience as we wrapped up the #C9ja Tour in a stylish manner. The tour ended with the final winner from the #TECNOGram Photography competition @Kayodeknows going on an helicopter ride round Lagos, giving him an opportunity to capture great aerial shots of the city.

Also, there was a mini-photography exhibition of the photos taken from our tour round Nigeria at the UNILAG football field, where the helicopter landed. A neat display of the framed photos captured with the Camon C9 across the 5 cities we visited.
