Melania Trump’s Republican Convention Speech from Last Night Bears a Striking Resemblance to Michelle Obama’s 2008 Democratic Convention Speech

Melania Trump-Michelle-Obama

At least one passage in Melania Trump‘s speech on Monday night at the Republican National Convention is believed to have plagiarized Michelle Obama‘s speech to the Democratic National Convention in 2008.

Side-by-side comparisons of the transcripts show the text in Trump’s address following, nearly to the word, the American first lady’s own from the first night of the Democratic convention in Denver nearly eight years ago.

The controversy quickly overshadowed the speech, which was to have been her introduction to voters. It focused on her immigration to the US and her love for her husband. Since the speech went viral with the hash tag #FamousMelaniaTrumpQuotes, the Trump campaign has released a statement but did not mention the plagiarism charge.’

“In writing her beautiful speech, Melania’s team of writers took notes on her life’s inspirations, and in some instances included fragments that reflected her own thinking. Melania’s immigrant experience and love for America shone through in her speech, which made it such a success,” according to Jason Miller, the senior communications adviser.

Here is an excerpt of Melania Trump’s speech:

“From a young age, my parents impressed on me the values that you work hard for what you want in life, that your word is your bond and you do what you say and keep your promise, that you treat people with respect. They taught and showed me values and morals in their daily lives. That is a lesson that I continue to pass along to our son,”

And we need to pass those lessons on to the many generations to follow. Because we want our children in this nation to know that the only limit to your achievements is the strength of your dreams and your willingness to work for them.”

And here is Michelle Obama’s speech from August 25th 2008:

“And Barack and I were raised with so many of the same values: that you work hard for what you want in life; that your word is your bond and you do what you say you’re going to do; that you treat people with dignity and respect, even if you don’t know them, and even if you don’t agree with them.

And Barack and I set out to build lives guided by these values, and to pass them on to the next generation. Because we want our children — and all children in this nation — to know that the only limit to the height of your achievements is the reach of your dreams and your willingness to work for them.”

Thank U! Don’t we all know this morning is dumb like her hubby? I usually never say such about no one. I mean, she’s not even fisty or have the zeal like other President’s wives. Now, U want to use Michelle’s look alike/sound alike speech smh. This is just the beginning of end time.

Which one is bear striking resemblance again? She copied. The story is hilarious because at various times we learn that the girl spent over a month working with speechwriters on this, her magnum opus , and also in her words (to Matt Lauer, on video just before the speech) that she wrote it with very little help so she didn’t need to rehearse or be nervous.
They should have just left her alone instead of dragging her into all this reading and writing mess.
Love the sleeves on her dress though. I think that’s more where her talent lies. No, she’s not a fashion designer. But I guess you can say she collaborates with them. Sorta like Kim K.

Wow, just watched the side by side comparison of Michelle and Melania’s speeches on CNN now, its shameful mehn, she even copied some word for word, one would think ‘loud mouth Trump’ would have helped his wife write the speech since she couldn’t…

Donald Trump also copied one of Barack Obama tweets.

BO – It was truly an honour to introduce my wife, Michelle. Her speech and demeanour were absolutely incredible. Very proud (12.14 AM – 19 Jul 2012.)

DT – It was truly an honour to introduce my wife, Melania. Her speech and demeanour were absolutely incredible. Very proud. #GOPConvention. (Jul 19, 2016. 12.14 AM.)

Are their speechwriters sleeping or what?

Hahahahahahahaha… Melania is an imported trophy wife, Michelle is an Ivy league alumus and a lawyer. The difference is clear by their delivery of the said speech. Michelle was oozing charisma while Melania was just…hahahahahhaha… she looks like plastic and sounds like dat weird lady in two broke girls. Cant stop laughing.

Hahahaha I cringed watching the whole thing. To compare her to Mrs O is an insult to the poised, elegant and incredibly intelligent Michelle. The hate she gets from the western media shows the hate is real. Had she been white well… I will leave it at that.
P.s Mrs Trump needs to lay of the ‘fillers’.

This is a lesson to ladies that are dreaming of being with all ready made men, with no educational or personal development skills…. As my pastor wil say. it’s not all about matching shoes and bag or having sleepless nights because one girl wore brazillian hair or carries an expensive designer bag that you’ll now begin to lose sleep… Invest in Knowledge!!! Read books, know general knowledge, read your bible as well, know your onions… so you can afford to buy your self shoes and more shoes any time you like..Not hoping and wishing to marry a wealthy man that will never have your time nor w ill he have that much respect for you…

Please learn from Melanie…leave all that physical glamour , go for mental glamour.
