A couple of weeks ago Minnow Films documented the lifestyle of new successful Nigerian elites like Toke Makinwa, Ozee and Ocee Mbadiwe and More in a documentary called “Lagos to London: Britain’s New Super Rich” and DJ Cuppy was one of the people profiled alongside her blogger sister, Temi Otedola.

The documentary caused quite a lot of discussion on social media and the video clips were trending for days as people dissected the content of the documentary which focused more on the lavish lifestyle of the individuals profiled.

In this quick interview with Factory78, DJ Cuppy explains that she wasn’t too happy with the documentary but that she doesn’t regret doing it. According to her, she’d have liked the documentary to focus more on her music because she is trying to build a brand. She however talks about being happy that the documentary passed a message across – Africans are educated and well aware.

She states that if an opportunity such as that comes again, she might not be as open to doing the documentary.

In the interview she also talks about how her internship with Roc Nation went, her future plans and how it feels to be African with the world watching our music industry closely.

Watch her interview below.
