Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele’s relationship takes a dark turn in the new trailer for Fifty Shades Darker.
Picking up where the last film left off, the trailer begins with Christian (Jamie Dornan) asking Anastasia (Dakota Johnson) for a second chance after their dramatic split.
As expected, the trailer features plenty of sexy scenes, including a steamy dinner date and an especially R-rated elevator ride. It also gives a glimpse at the novel’s masquerade ball.
But just as things appear to be going well for the couple, mysterious people from Christian’s past begin to appear — and start causing trouble.
One thing the trailer is missing? The franchise’s famous BDSM segments.
Fifty Shades Darker turns up the heat in theaters starting February 2017. The final instalment, Fifty Shades Freed, arrives a year later, on February 2018.
