Oyo Govt Releases Video of Gov Ajimobi Pleading with Protesting LAUTECH Students
Following the release of a video where the Governor of Oyo State, Abiola Ajimobi told protesting students of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) to “go and do (their) worst,” the state government has released a video where the governor pleaded with the students to remain calm as efforts are ongoing to reopen the institution that has been shut for 8 months.
The video was published on Twitter by Babajide Fadoju, the Head of Digital Communications of the state government.
Ajimobi assured the students that he and his Osun state counterpart, Rauf Aregbesola have agreed to release at least N250 million each to solve the problem, adding that they have met with the management of the university.
Ajimobi also told the students that the institution will be reopened before the end of January.
