Post & Delete: Solange Knowles thinks Beyoncé lost “Album of the Year” to Adele because she’s Black

The Grammys held on Sunday, 12th of February and on Monday Solange Knowles took to twitter to share her thoughts on the fact that her sister Beyoncé did not win “Album of the Year” for Lemonade.

The award had gone to Adele for “25” which reportedly sold a huge 8 million copies to Beyoncé’s reported 1 million copies.

Being a beehive herself, Adele had stated in her speech that Beyoncé deserved the award and she then proceeded to break the award in half.

Solange tweeted that in the history of the Grammys only two black people have received the album of the year award even though over 200 black artists have performed. She also tweeted that sometimes people should create their own communities and create their own awards to give to themselves and their friends.
