It has been 10 amazing days of creativity thanks to the Union Bank and BellaNaija Valentine Season Giveaway. It has successfully come to an end.
The #UnionBank100BellaNaija Valentine Season Giveaway from Union Bank and BellaNaija kicked off ten days ago (click here) and the aim was to give TEN people N100,000 each (one person per day) for Ten Days.
Believe us when we say that if we could give everyone who participated the money, we would. It was tough to select one winner each day but with a team of judges, we were able to do so.

Today, we are picking the winner for Day Ten. The Day 10 competition was all about finding love at a wedding and we got really interesting entries across Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and in the BellaNaija comment section. We even got some interesting and creative videos entries/voice over narrations.

Last Day:
Attacking pomo meat vigorously, is a battle no Yoruba man wants to loose, so I was not surprised when it caused an issue in a Yoruba wedding I attended last year with a friend. We all know how these owanbe parties are, lagos goons can attest ,it is a place everyone wants to be, too much food is an understatement its a place for jollification.
Well the story goes like this, we were sited in our comfy position, when we were told it was our turn to head towards the food area , so we filed out, with our large agbadas lolzz, you know Nigerians , every body’s eye was on the meat, including me. My dear on getting to the pomo stand there was only two pieces left and it was just 3 of us left to collect, 2 guys and a lady, I collected, hoping the man behind being my friend would be a gentleman and allow the lady have the last one, but I thought wrong.
Hahahahaha, next thing I heard was, excuse me lady please could you leave the pomo and have the chicken , I really love pomo. The lady just acted like no one spoke, picked up her pomo and walked away… Lol. I couldn’t stop laughing at my friend.
The snub, plus the frown on his face made me shed tears of laughter, i couldn’t just hold it in . After standing there shocked for a while, he made do with the chicken and a piece of snail and we headed for our sits, I was eating and cry-laffing at the same time, but my friend was having none of it, strong headed as he is, he told me he was going to approach the lady and ask her what exactly is her problem, I warned him and said brotherly, just let go , e don happen, be say, e don happen.
People guess what, immediately we finished eating, this guy jumped out of his sit dragging me outside along with him, to go confront the lady, my boy was vexing lolzz. When we finaly met her, he was like “I was trying to tell you something and you just walked away from me , that wasn’t polite” , the girl was just looking at him , you know that look of what is this dude talking about , her next few words were , dude i cant hear you, i almost fainted holding down my laughter in chest, my guy was boiling , he initially thought she was up to those ladies gimmicks and all, but shockingly and truly, she couldn’t hear him, she was deaf, i have never seen my friends face so sad through our 19 years of friendship, the laughter on my own lips dried up. I felt like the most stupid person alive, but let me not bore you with my feelings back then.
Here is the beautiful part of this story, many guys would have walked away at that moment even making fun of her, more like “fine girl like you , you no even fit hear and you dey make shakara, but instead my friend immediately switched to sign language , got her number and started chatting her up through messages, what got me broken was when he gifted her a very good hearing aid which cost him some good money to aid her hearing. As of now I know she is far more better than that first day.
No matter all the yabs, from our close friends he stuck with her, always lifting her, as of today I can say @bellanaijaweddings posted there pre wedding picture some weeks back… I am sure they had no idea.. How there love started ..i call it #pomolove you guys can call it finding love in a wedding .. Thank you ..#UnionBank100BellaNaija..
